The wellbeing of our employees, clients and other stakeholders visiting our offices is, and will always be our priority.  It is clear to us that vaccination is our best defence against the most serious risks of COVID-19.

HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGEMENT PLAN

JB Morrison Lawyers

Recently we shared our COVID-19 Response Policies with employees.  This included a COVID-19 Health & Safety Management Plan for Visitors policy which states that anyone visiting our offices will not come into contact with unvaccinated staff.

This will take effect at 8 am on Monday, 20 December 2021.  This also means that from 8 am on Monday, 20 December 2021, we will require anyone visiting any JB Morrison office to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are children under 12 years as they are currently unable to be vaccinated.  All children under 12 years must remain with their caregivers at all times.

Prior to and on arrival at our offices, we will ask you to confirm your vaccination status and that of any of your fellow guests. We will also ask for proof of vaccination via the My Vaccine Pass app.  We will record your response on our client management system so we only need to ask once.

Since vaccines have been available, we’ve strongly encouraged our staff to get the vaccine by offering paid leave to do so as well as for recovery after the vaccination. We’ve consulted extensively with our employees, and a little under 95% of staff confirmed that they are fully vaccinated.

We acknowledge that there are some people who are hesitant about getting vaccinated, do not wish to be vaccinated, or have a legitimate medical reason why they can’t – and we respect everyone’s right to choose.  If this applies to you, or you do not wish to share your vaccination status with us, please let us know prior to your meeting so we can proactively manage any potential risks. We may ask that you support our policy by communicating with us outside of our offices, either via video call, phone or email.

While we have taken every measure to ensure our workplace is safe, our policies will not address every possible scenario.  We will keep you informed if any government advice changes. This is not a decision we have made lightly, but we believe it is the right thing to do and that the vaccine is the most effective way of keeping us all safe.
