Quantifying damages for loss of dignity has been problematic for employment institutions for the last 30 years.  The jurisprudence remains unclear and awards have remained unrealistically low.  The problems with quantification have been exacerbated by recent developments in privacy law where there is an increased focus on fully compensating plaintiffs.
