Experience
Simon specialises in the field of trusts & asset protection planning. His expertise covers all aspects of wills, trust & estate planning including the establishment, management and administration of all personal & commercial related trusts.
As one of the first practitioners in NZ admitted as a full member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) in London and having practiced in each of NZ, Australia, the UK and other off-shore centres, Simon has unique & critical experience & knowledge to assist clients with their trust or asset planning requirements both in NZ and internationally. This work has included an involvement in migration trust & asset planning for both ex-pats & foreigners leaving and arriving in New Zealand along with advice & administration services for New Zealand foreign trusts & other such entities.
Simon joined Morrison Kent in 1999. He is a member of the Estate & Tax Planning Council of NZ and sits on a number of Law Society conference planning committees. He is a regular presenter at conferences for the New Zealand Law Society, Auckland District Law Society and other industry & professional conferences and is a published author of articles on trusts & asset protection planning.
